BOONE COUNTY:

Carroll Cropper Memorial Bridge -- A rolling roadblock and traffic shift will take place on Monday, May 5 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on I-275 eastbound (Indiana to Kentucky). Once completed, motorists will merge into the left lane ahead of the bridge, and then shift to the right lane ahead of the main span of the bridge.

GALLATIN COUNTY:

Interstate 71 Northbound/Southbound – 59 – 69 mile points – A crack sealing project will begin on Wednesday, April 16. This work will require single lane closures between the evening/overnight hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Crews will be working on I-71 northbound and southbound from two miles east of the Sparta Pike (KY 35) exit, to the Boone/Gallatin County line.
Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed Friday, May 9.
KENTON COUNTY:
- Bracht-Piner Road (KY 14) – 0.0 – 3.26 mile points – Corrective work has been completed following a resurfacing project on KY 14 between Dixie Highway (U.S. 25) and Madison Pike (KY 17). Rumble strips and striping will be installed at a later date. KYTC will provide updates on the Roadshow and social media once those operations have been scheduled.

Turkeyfoot Road (KY 1303) -- 4.97 - 6.25 mile point -- A resurfacing project on Turkeyfoot Road between Dudley Road and Dixie Highway (U.S. 25) will begin on Tuesday, May 6. Work is expected to take place between the evening/overnight hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Beginning Tuesday, May 6, crews will be making repairs to traffic count stations in the project area. This work is expected to take three nights. Motorists should expect a single lane closure in the project area.
Base failure, milling and paving operations have not yet been scheduled. KYTC will provide an update on social media once these operations are scheduled. Once scheduled, motorists should expect various single lane closures throughout the project area during working hours. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.
Additionally, a new traffic controller cabinet and radar detection system will be installed at signalized intersections located within the project area. These improvements will improve traffic congestion throughout the corridor.
Our Kenton County and Boone County KYTC maintenance crews are actively working on a drainage/ditching project on the section of Turkeyfoot Road north of I-275. This project will improve safety by providing better water runoff during weather events. This separate maintenance project is expected to be completed Monday, May 12.
The resurfacing project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.

Richardson Road (KY 1829) -- 2.72 - 3.98 mile points --A slide repair project is underway. This project will take place on Richardson Road between Sherbourne Drive and Old Richardson Road. Brush clearing operations have been completed in the project area.
Slide repairs are in progress. This work requires a 24/7 road closure at the 2.9 mile point (east of Sherbourne Drive). Crews will dig out a section of the road and perform a long-term slip repair. Additionally, breaks in the road in the project area will be patched. Tree trimming and ditching will be performed to improve drainage to ensure a longer lasting repair.
Local traffic will have limited access during this portion of the project. Residents living west of 3682 Richardson Road will have access to Richardson Road via Turkeyfoot Road (KY 1303). Residents living on or east of Webster Road will access Richardson Road via Madison Pike (KY 3035).
The slide repair portion of the project is expected to be completed Monday, May 12. Once the slide repair has been completed, the 24/7 road closure will be removed. Maintenance crews will then perform ditching and drainage improvements in the project area. This work will require a daily road closure between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. with the road reopening daily at 7 p.m. KYTC will advise on social media and the District 6 Roadshow when repairs have been completed.

Main Street/Pike Street (U.S. 25) -- 12.75 - 13.45 mile points -- A resurfacing project on Pike Street/Main Street is underway. Crews will resurface U.S. 25 from east of Simon Kenton Way to Fourth Street (KY 8). This section of road is located in Covington.
Base failures have been completed. Milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 6. This work will take place between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Motorists should expect single lane closures throughout the project area during working hours. In areas where there are two lanes, traffic will be maintained using flaggers. In areas where there are three lanes or more, one lane will be maintained in each direction.
This work is being performed during the evening/overnight hours to minimize travel disruptions in a high traffic volume area. No lane closures will be permitted on weekends from Friday at 5 p.m. to Sunday at 8 p.m.
The project is expected to be completed June 30, 2025.

Madison Pike/E. 20th Street (KY 17) – 20.45 – 22.31 mile points – A resurfacing project on Madison Pike/E. 20th Street is nearing completion. Crews have milled/paved Madison Pike/E. 20th Street from Latonia Avenue to Greenup Street. The project includes the resurfacing of E. 20th Street from Madison Pike to Greenup Street.
Crews will return to the project area on Monday, May 5 during the working hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to complete repairs to a traffic count station. This work will require a single lane closure during working hours with one lane maintained in each direction at all times. Additionally, crews will work the week of Monday, May 5 to complete thermoplastic striping.
Weather permitting, the project has an expected completion date of June 30, 2025.

Kyles Lane (KY 3187) – 0.4 – 0.72 mile points – A slide repair project is in progress on Kyles Lane. Crews have placed barricades between Farrell Drive and mile point 0.4 to block thru traffic. Only local traffic will be maintained:
-Homes at/north of 800 Kyles Lane will use Highland Pike for local access to Kyles Lane. -Homes at/south of 845 Kyles Lane will use Madison Pike for local access to Kyles Lane.
No thru traffic will be permitted on this portion of Kyles Lane. Motorists can detour using Madison Pike (KY 17) to Highland Pike (KY 1072).
Slide repairs, brush clearing and drainage repairs have been completed. Milling/paving operations have been completed for a separate resurfacing project. The road remains blocked until guardrail can be installed. Guardrail installation is expected to take place Monday, May 5. The installation is expected to take one working day. The road will reopen to traffic once the guardrail has been installed.
- Kyles Lane (KY 3187) – 0.0 – 0.95 mile point – A resurfacing project on Kyles Lane between KY 17 and Highland Pike has been completed; however, the road will remain closed due to an ongoing slide repair project, to allow our crews a safe area to install guardrail prior to reopening the road (see above).
ROBERTSON COUNTY

Blue Lick Road (KY 1029) -- 0.0 - 1.0 mile points -- Beginning Tuesday, May 6, crews will be resurfacing Blue Lick Road from KY 165 to the 1.0 mile point. Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect a single lane closure throughout the project area. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone. The project is expected to be completed June 30, 2025.

Piqua Kentontown Road (KY 1029) -- 0.0 - 1.5 mile points -- Beginning Wednesday, May 7, crews will be resurfacing Piqua Kentontown Road from U.S. 62 to Hoover Lane (CR 1101). Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect a single lane closure throughout the project area. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone. The project is expected to be completed June 30, 2025.
