Paving Project Planned on KY 662 in Daviess and Hancock Counties
Paving scheduled for early May
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (April 29, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to start a project to pave portions of KY 662 through Daviess and Hancock counties beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30.
Construction signage will be installed tomorrow from KY 405 (0 mile point) to Easterly Campground Road (3.33 mp) in Daviess County and from the Daviess-Hancock County line (0 mp) to KY 657 (0.871 mp) in Hancock County. Crews will be performing shoulder work along the roadway in both counties before the end of the week in preparation for paving.
Paving is slated to begin on the Hancock County portion of the roadway on Tuesday, May 6 at 7 a.m. and should be completed by 5 p.m. Depending on the weather, this section of the project is scheduled to be completed in one day.
On Thursday, May 8, crews will begin paving the Daviess County section of KY 662. Work will be conducted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is expected to last one week.
All work on both sections is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
