Slate Lick Road at the Hal Rogers Overpass Bridge will be Closed Starting Thursday, May 1
MANCHESTER, Ky. (April 22, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that Slate Lick Road (C.R. 1225) at the Hal Rogers overpass bridge in Laurel County will be closed starting Thursday, May 1 at 8 a.m., and will remain closed until Friday, August 1 at 5 p.m. (both day and night).
The need for this is to allow for construction of a new overpass bridge due to the widening of Hal Rogers Parkway.
Detour signs will be posted.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect significant delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
