Daytime closures of KY 28 in Perry County planned April 28-29
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 28 between Buckhorn and Chavies will need to plan to use an alternate route on Monday, April 28, and Tuesday, April 29.The road will be closed during daytime hours for repairs to a damaged box culvert.
The road will be closed both days from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at milepoint 11.24, which is just west of KY 451 near Chavies.
Traffic is currently reduced to one lane and controlled by temporary signals at this location.
No signed detour will be posted. Drivers can use KY 1110 and KY 15 through Breathitt County as an alternate route. Motorists are advised that work on KY 1110 in Breathitt County may further delay their travels and plan their trips accordingly.
Slightly fewer than 900 vehicles use this section of KY 28 each day.
