Detours Suggested for Flooded Routes in Webster County
Road conditions can change quickly, please use caution
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (April 11, 2025) – As the Green and Tradewater Rivers continue to rise, some areas around Webster County are nearly inaccessible to motor vehicle traffic.
The following are a list of potential detours. Keep in mind that as river levels continue to rise, road conditions can change quickly. While attempting to navigate around flood waters, please use caution and remain alert for changes to road conditions. If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around, don't drown.
KY 120 between the 0-2 mile points at the Tradewater River/ Crittenden County line: The only detour currently available is to take U.S. 41A from Providence to Dixon, follow KY 132 from Dixon to Clay, then use KY 270 and KY 141 to travel to U.S. 60 near Waverly. U.S. 60 goes into Crittenden County in District 1. However, U.S. 60 is expected to close at the Crittenden-Union line sometime today.
KY 109 between the 7-8 mile points: Take U.S. 41A from Providence to Dixon, then follow KY 132 from Dixon to Clay.
KY 109 between the 10-11.5 mile points: From Clay, take KY 270 to KY 141, then follow KY 141 into Sullivan.
KY 132 at the 0-mile point at the Crittenden-Webster line to the 7-mile point: From Clay, take KY 270 to KY 141 to U.S. 60. However, U.S. 60 is expected to close at the Crittenden-Union line sometime today.
KY 132 between the 25-26 mile points near 494: Take KY 283 to KY 56, which leads into Sebree.
KY 1835 between the 3-4 mile points: KY 1835 is accessible from either end off of KY 138.
KY 2837 between the 2-3 mile points: Take KY 270 to KY 141, then follow KY 141 into Sullivan to reach the end of KY 109.
KY 143 between the 4-7.2 mile points: No Detour
KY 143 between the 9-10 mile points: No Detour
KY 370 between the 0-1 mile points: No detour
KY 493 between the 0-2 mile points: No detour
KY 494 between the 0-1 mile points: No detour
KY 1525 between the 0-2 mile points: No detour
