Nighttime Work Zone Planned Along U.S. 45/Lone Oak Road in the Lone Oak area Starting Monday
Curbs and ramps, paving from Hannan Plaza to Hucks near KY 1241
PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 10, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a nighttime work zone along Lone Oak Road from mile point 9.224 to 5.785 in McCracken County starting on Monday, April 14.
Work will involve updating concrete curbs and ramps from the Hannan Plaza shopping center at the intersection of U.S. 45/U.S. 62/KY 731 to the Hucks convenience station near the U.S. 45/KY 1241 intersection in Lone Oak. Crews will then transition to milling and paving along the roadway.
The work zone will be active at night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Motorists should be alert for signage and flaggers around the continuously moving work zone.
Jim Smith Contracting is the primary contractor.
The estimated target for project competition is June 30, 2025.
Use caution where workers and equipment are near the flow of traffic.
