TRAFFIC ALERT: All Lanes Blocked on I-71 Northbound at 54 Mile Marker in Gallatin County
First responders working to clear a crash
COVINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a traffic alert on Interstate 71 northbound in Gallatin County.
A commercial vehicle crash has blocked all lanes on I-71 northbound at the 54 mile marker. This is located approximately one-half mile south of the KY 1039 exit (Vevay, Indiana -- Exit 55). No timeline has been provided for when the crash is expected to be cleared.
Motorists are encouraged to use GPS navigational devices, and find alternate routes as this area has several roads that are closed due to high water.
KYTC District 6 will provide updates on social media when the crash is cleared.
