I-69 Closed at I-24, I-169 Due to Flooding
Traffic detoured through Hopkinsville
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (April 05, 2025) – With the safety of Kentucky motorists in mind, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials have made the decision to close both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 due to flood water from the Tradewater River.
Northbound motorists will be detoured east on I-24 from the 41.5 mile point in Lyon County to Christian County, where they can use I-169 to travel north to rejoin I-69 in Hopkins County near Mortons Gap. Southbound traffic will be detoured down I-169 from the 106 mile point of I-69 and then west on I-24.
