Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 Water Over the Road Report Noon

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (April 4, 2025) – The current state road closures due to flooding for the District 3 area are listed below. Some roads have reopened since the heavy rain this morning and there are also some new closures. The I-165 northbound offramp at Exit 5 in Bowling Green has reopened.

Rain is expected to continue through the weekend and the flooding situation is expected to get to worse. More roads are expected to become flooded in the coming hours and days.

District 3 crews are doing their best to put out barricades and other traffic safety devices to close roads as fast as they can. Please do not drive around or move barricades, barrels or any other traffic control devices.

Interstate 165

• The northbound off ramp at Exit 5 U.S. 68 Russellville Road in Bowling Green has reopened due to flooding. (REOPENED)

• KY 585 – Has reopened at mile point 6 to 7.  (REOPENED)

• KY 1533 - Closed at mile marker 0 to 1.  

Barren County

• KY 685 – Closed at mile marker 6. 

• KY 3179 – Closed at mile point 2.2. 

• KY 921- Closed at mile point 7.5. 

• KY 740 – Closed at mile point 5.4. 

Butler County

• KY 1153 - Closed at mile marker 5 to 6.   

• KY 2713 - Closed at mile marker 0 to 1. 
• KY 403 – Closed at mile marker 4 to 5.
• KY 1187 – Closed at mile points 4 to 5.
• KY 3182 – Closed at mile points 1 to 2.
• KY 1435 – Closed at mile points 0 to 1.

• KY 214 Ferry – The ferry on KY 214 at Turkey Neck Bend is closed due to river conditions.

Simpson County

• KY 2593 – Closed at mile points 1 to 2. 

• KY 585 – Has reopened at mile points 3 to 5. 

• KY 621 – Closed at mile points 6.2 to 7.5. 

• KY 1171 – Has reopened at mile points 2 to 3.7. 

• KY 383 – Has reopened at mile points 4.2 to 5.9.
