TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Nightly Closures of KY 362 (Aiken Road) Beginning Monday, April 7, in Shelby County

KYTC crews to replace cross drains ahead of upcoming asphalt resurfacing project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 4, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a section of KY 362 (Aiken Road) will be closed nightly beginning Monday, April 7, in Shelby County.

KY 362 (Aiken Road) will be closed from mile point 3.39 (near KY 1408/Floydsburg Road) to mile point 4.39 (near Brentford Road) from 6 p.m. to midnight beginning Monday, April 7, through Friday, April 11. The nightly closures are necessary for KYTC crews to replace cross drains along the route ahead of an upcoming asphalt resurfacing project. Drivers should expect to follow detours along the affected area while work is underway (local traffic will be directed through the work zone via flagging measures).

Following the replacement of the cross drains, crews will place a layer of dense-grade rock over them until asphalt can be laid. Drivers should exercise caution when driving over the newly replaced cross drains.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
