Temporary signal change scheduled for
Boyle County
The intersection with Third Street/KY 33 and Lexington Avenue/KY 2324
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 31, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a signal change scheduled for Danville, Boyle County. An intersection conversion will occur for Third Street/KY 33 and Lexington Avenue/KY 2324. The conversion is necessary for an evaluation to be conducted for the intersection. The evaluation will be reviewed following a 90-day period.
Tuesday, April 1 through Friday, June 22 – 8 a.m. Tuesday until Friday, June 22
Third Street/KY 33 and Lexington Avenue/KY 2324
Tuesday, April 1 at 8 a.m.
- the conversion will be at the intersection with Third Street/KY 33 (milepoint 0.22) and Lexington Avenue/KY 2324 (milepoint 0.0)
- the intersection will be set up to function as a 4-way stop for a 90-day period
- the current signal will change to flash red for all approaches
- stop signs will be placed at all four directions for the intersection
Motorists should remain aware of the temporary change for the area and utilize caution.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
