Bridge Maintenance Project on Clay Wade Bailey Bridge in Kenton County on Tuesday, April 1
Expect single lane, sidewalk closure between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
COVINGTON, Ky. (March 31, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a bridge maintenance project on the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge (U.S. 25) on Tuesday, April 1.
Crews will be working between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. This work will require a single right northbound lane closure on the bridge from north of West Fourth Street (KY 8) (13.5 mile point) in Covington to the Kentucky/Ohio state line (13.9 mile point), a distance of 0.4 miles. The sidewalk located on the east portion of the bridge will also be closed during these working hours. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge between Kentucky and Ohio as an alternate route.
These closures are in place to provide a safe area for a bridge snooper vehicle to access the bridge piers.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during peak travel times, and to drive carefully through the work zone to keep our crews safe.
Weather permitting, this maintenance project is expected to be completed Tuesday, April 1 at 3:30 p.m.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow. Follow KYTC District 6 on Facebook or Twitter. For Kentucky’s latest traffic and travel information, visit GoKy, TRIMARC, and WAZE.
