KENTON & CAMPBELL COUNTIES:

Fourth Street (KY 8) Bridge – 6.65 mile point – A routine bridge inspection on the Fourth Street Bridge between Newport and Covington is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 1. Crews will be working daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with completion expected by Friday, April 4, weather permitting. All lanes and sidewalks will remain open, but pedestrians should use extra caution due to crews, equipment, and narrow walkways.
PENDLETON & HARRISON COUNTIES:

A guardrail replacement/shoulder work project on a portion of U.S. 27 in Harrison County and KY 159 in Pendleton County is now complete.
VARIOUS COUNTIES:
CSX railroad crossing repairs: CSX Transportation has scheduled a series of railroad crossing repairs in several counties throughout April. These repairs will require temporary closures at each location for approximately 2 to 4 days. Work is scheduled to take place Tuesday through Friday, though dates are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen factors.

Week of April 1
- Gallatin County: KY 467 in Glencoe – 7.5 mile point
Week of April 8
- Grant County: Elliston-Mt. Zion Road (KY 1942) – 1.9 – 2.2 mile points
Week of April 15
- Boone County: Main Street (U.S. 25) in Walton – 1 mile point
Week of April 22
- Boone County: Glencoe-Verona Road (KY 16) – between 2.1 and 2.2 mile points
- Boone County: Lebanon Crittenden Road (KY 491) – between 2.4 and 2.5 mile points
- Carroll County: KY 389 – between 3.5 and 3.6 mile points
Week of April 29
- Boone County: Main Street (U.S. 25) in Walton – 1 mile point
Signed detours will be in place at all locations, and message boards will be posted at most sites to provide advance notice of closures and expected timeframes. Any questions about the crossing repairs should be directed toward CSX Transportation.
This list will be available on our District 6 Roadshow. As repairs are completed, locations will be removed from the schedule.
BOONE COUNTY:

Verona Mudlick Road (KY 14) – 2.18 mile point – A bridge maintenance project will begin on Monday, April 7 on the Verona Mudlick Road overpass over I-71. This is located at the I-71 Verona exit. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with temporary signals in place throughout the project area. Motorists should watch for lane closures, equipment and trucks entering/leaving the project area.
Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed Monday, April 14.
- NOTE: The schedule for this work has been adjusted due to the inclement weather forecast for next week.

Weaver Road (KY 842) – 1.6 – 2.1 mile points – A turn lane and shoulder widening project on Weaver Road between Trellises Drive and Constance Road is nearing completion. Beginning Monday, March 31, crews will perform milling/paving and striping operations. This work will require single lane closures during daytime working hours. This work should be completed by Friday, April 4, weather permitting.

Petersburg Road (KY 20) – 6.6 – 8.15 mile point – A resurfacing project is expected to begin on Monday, March 31. Crews will resurface Petersburg Road from Market Street in Petersburg to Woolper Road. Motorists should expect a single lane closure throughout the project area, with flaggers being used to guide traffic safely through the work zone. This project is expected to be completed June 30, 2025.

Petersburg Road (KY 20) – 19.71 – 20.71 mile point – A maintenance project began on Wednesday, March 26. Crews will be performing ditching operations on Petersburg Road between Airport Access Road (KY 212) and River Road (KY 8). Crews will work between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Motorists should expect a single lane closure with flaggers guiding traffic safely through the work zone. Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed Friday, April 4.
CAMPBELL COUNTY:

Three Mile Road (KY 2238) – 1.4 – 1.5 mile point – A maintenance project on a portion of Three Mile Road is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 1. The KYTC Campbell County maintenance crew will be repairing asphalt along the edge of the roadway to improve safety.
To accommodate the work, this portion of Three Mile Road (just northwest of the I-275 on/off ramps) will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2. The road will reopen each evening at 6 p.m.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2.
KENTON COUNTY:

Kyles Lane (KY 3187) – 0.4 – 0.72 mile points – A slide repair project is in progress on Old Kyles Lane. Crews have placed barricades between Farrell Drive and mile point 0.4 to block thru traffic. Only local traffic will be maintained:
- Homes at/north of 800 Kyles Lane will use Highland Pike for local access to Kyles Lane.
- Homes at/south of 845 Kyles Lane will use Madison Pike for local access to Kyles Lane.
No thru traffic will be permitted on this portion of Kyles Lane. Motorists can detour using Madison Pike (KY 17) to Highland Pike (KY 1072).
Weather permitting, this maintenance project is expected to be completed Friday, April 4. KYTC will advise on social media if additional days of work are needed for the slide repair project.

Interstate 75 Northbound – 184.7 mile point – Geotechnical work in this area has been completed.

Interstate 75 Northbound – 183.76 mile point – Geotechnical work on I-75 northbound north of the Donaldson Highway (KY 236) overpass is now complete.

Interstate 75 Southbound – Off-Ramp to Fifth Street (KY 8) – Geotechnical work in this area has been completed.
