Slide Repair Project on Kyles Lane (KY 3187) in Kenton County Now Underway

Local traffic only between Farrell Drive and mile point 0.4

COVINGTON, Ky. (March 25, 2025) – A project to repair a slide on Kyles Lane (KY 3187) in Kenton County is now underway.

On Monday, March 24, crews placed barricades on both sides of the project area on Kyles Lane between Farrell Drive (mile point 0.72) and mile point 0.4, a distance of 0.32 miles. Crews will work over the next two weeks to shore up the hillside that has caused several slips in the road so it can be safely used by all motorists.

Local traffic will be maintained up to the slide area for motorists needing access to their homes in this area:

  • Homes at/north of 800 Kyles Lane will use Highland Pike for local access to Kyles Lane.
  • Homes at/south of 845 Kyles Lane will use Madison Pike for local access to Kyles Lane.

No thru traffic will be permitted on this portion of Kyles Lane. Motorists can detour using Madison Pike (KY 17) and Highland Pike (KY 1072).

Weather permitting, this maintenance project is expected to be completed Friday, April 4. KYTC will advise on social media if additional days of work are needed for the slide repair project.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow. Follow KYTC District 6 on Facebook or Twitter.
