KY 1591 is Open at the 1.5 MM in Carlisle County Following Roadway Repairs
February 16 flash flooding event caused a sinkhole to form
PADUCAH, Ky. (Mar. 14, 2025) – KY 1591 is open at the 1.5-mile marker in Carlisle County following roadway repairs.
This is near the intersection with KY 877, northwest of the city of Arlington.
The road was closed on February 16 when a sinkhole formed during a flash flooding event. A Carlisle County Highway Maintenance Crew completed repairs to the roadway today.
Approximately 64 vehicles travel this section of KY 1591 in an average day.
