I-Move Traffic Advisory: Lane and Ramp Closures on I-64 and I-265 Beginning Monday, March 10, in Jefferson County

Contract crews to assemble and install sign trusses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 7, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming lane and ramp closures on Interstate 64 and Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) beginning Monday, March 10, as part of the I-Move KY project. The daily and nightly lane and ramp closures are necessary for the delivery and installation of overhead signage and electrical work.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Monday, March 10
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
      The far right lane of I-64 West will be closed between mile markers 21 and 20 (near KY 1531/Eastwood Fisherville Road).
    • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 11:
      I-265 North at mile marker 32 (near KY 1447/Westport Road) will be reduced to one lane, and intermittent rolling roadblocks are possible.

      *The off-ramp from I-265 North to KY 1447 (Westport Road) at Exit 32 will also be closed from 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 11.  
  • Tuesday, March 11
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
      The far right lane of I-64 West will be closed between mile markers 21 and 20 (near KY 1531/ Eastwood Fisherville Road).
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
      The far right lane of I-64 West will be closed between mile markers 19 and 18 (near the I-64/I-265 interchange).
    • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 12:
      I-64 West will be reduced to one lane between mile markers 21 and 20 (near KY 1531/Eastwood Fisherville Road), and intermittent rolling roadblocks are possible.
  • Wednesday, March 12
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
      The far right lane of I-64 West will be closed between mile markers 19 and 18 (near the I-64/I-265 interchange).  
    • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, March 13:
      I-64 West will be reduced to one lane between mile markers 19 and 18 (near the I-64/I-265 interchange), and intermittent rolling roadblocks are possible.
    • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, March 13:
      I-265 South will be reduced to one lane from the I-265/I-71 interchange at mile point 34.7 to KY 22 (Brownsboro Road) at mile point 33.7.

Drivers should plan ahead for increased travel times, heed signage, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
