TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Maintenance Work on Interstate 71 Tonight, Feb. 27, in Oldham County

KYTC crews to patch potholes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of rolling roadblocks and mobile pothole patching operations on Interstate 71 North and South tonight, Feb. 27, in Oldham County.

Pothole patching, a part of moving operations, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on I-71 South from mile point 20.0 (near KY 2857/Ernie Harris Parkway) to mile point 11.3 (at the Jefferson/Oldham County line). Once work has been completed on the southbound side, crews will shift operations to I-71 North from mile point 11.3 (at the Jefferson/Oldham County line) to mile point 20.0 (near KY 2857/Ernie Harris Parkway).

Traffic will be temporarily slowed and sometimes stopped to allow crews space to safely patch potholes. Motorists should heed rolling roadblock restrictions, maintain safe following distances and proceed with caution through the work zone.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
