District 3 Crews Remain Deployed for Flooded Roads and Possible Winter Weather Conditions
The District 3 area serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, and Warren Counties
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Feb. 16, 2025) – State highway crews from the District 3 area continue to be deployed for flooded roads throughout the District. Some roads have reopened, but many still remain closed due to flooding.
Crews in the northern counties of the District responded to minor snow & ice conditions Sunday morning. However, another minor snow & ice weather system may drop some minor accumulations of snow overnight and in the morning on the northern and eastern counties in the District 3 area.
Motorists should expect some icy conditions throughout each county in the District 3 area overnight and during the morning commute. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s overnight. Any water left on the roadways could freeze creating slick spots.
A more significant winter weather system could hit the area as early as Tuesday night. As of Sunday night three to four inches of snow is predicted in some parts of the District 3 area. More information will be released in the coming days.
The current road closure list due to flooding is below. It is possible a road could be flooded that’s not on the list or that does not have barricades put up. Please do not drive around or move barricades. There have been multiple reports of this being done, some resulting in water rescues. Do not attempt to drive through possible high water.
