KY 1411 in Lee County to be closed for pipe replacement, break repairs

Closure expected to last two days

JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 1411 (South Fork Road) in Lee County should prepare to use an alternate route beginning at noon on Monday, Feb. 3..

The road will be closed at milepoint 4.4 for replacement of a drainage pipe and repairs to a break in pavement. This is just south of Noe Mountain Road and is approximately 0.5 miles from the KY 11 intersection in Beattyville.

A drainage pipe failed during heavy rainfall on Friday, Jan. 31, causing one lane of the road to be undercut. Signs and barricades were placed after the break occurred until repairs could be completed.

The road is expected to be closed for two days for the repairs.

No signed detour will be posted. Drivers can use KY 30 and KY 11 through Booneville as an alternate route to avoid the closure. Local roads are also available for use as detour routes.

Fewer than 250 vehicles use this section of KY 1411 each day.
