Pothole repairs scheduled for Madison County
Potholes increase due to extreme cold temperatures and precipitation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 30, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled pothole repair operations. The repairs will be completed for various routes in Richmond and Madison County.
Saturday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 2 – 8 p.m. Saturday until Sunday at 2 a.m.
Repair work will be in effect for the following routes:
- Irvine Road/KY 52 East (milepoints 12.97) to the Madison/Estill County line (milepoint 22.86)
- the EKU Bypass/KY 876 to Goggin’s Lane (milepoint 6.491) to Big Hill Avenue/US 25 (milepoint 9.959)
- the Robert R. Martin Bypass/US 25 to the EKU Bypass/KY 876 (milepoint 15.44) to Keeneland Drive (milepoint 20.49)
The traveling public should expect delays during the hours of scheduled repair operations.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
