City of Madisonville Plans Beautification Project at Intersection of U.S. 41 and Island Ford Road
Nighttime restrictions planned Monday through Wednesday
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 1, 2024) – The City of Madisonville plans to start a beautification project this week at the intersection of U.S. 41 (North Main), U.S. 41A (Nebo Road) and KY 281 (Island Ford Road) that will result in over night lane restrictions and traffic shifts through Thursday morning.
City crews will be working nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. to convert existing concrete traffic islands into plantable flower beds. Motorists should anticipate lane restrictions during working hours, including the potential reduction of two-lane roadways to single lanes at times to accommodate equipment.
This is a city project being carried out under a permit from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
