Resurfacing Project on KY 389 in Carroll County Begins Monday, Oct. 28

Flaggers will direct traffic through work zone

COVINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming resurfacing project on KY 389 in Carroll County beginning Monday, Oct. 28.

Crews will be resurfacing KY 389 from Camp Branch Road (mile point 1.89) extending north to the railroad tracks in English (mile point 3.56), a distance of 1.67 miles. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Weather permitting, crews will begin milling the project area on Monday, Oct. 28. Paving operations are expected to begin Tuesday, Oct. 29. The contractor anticipates the project to take about three days of work.

Motorists should expect single lane closures in the project area with flaggers guiding traffic safely through the work zone. Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays. KYTC will advise if the schedule is adjusted via our District 6 roadshow.

Wingham Paving Inc. is contracted to perform the $156,941.59 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed by Nov. 15, 2024.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow. Follow KYTC District 6 on Facebook or Twitter.
