Hours Reduced at I-24 Welcome Center Near Kentucky-Tennessee Line
KYTC hopes to resume normal operations on Monday
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 18, 2024) – Out of concern for the safety of motorists, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be reducing the hours of the Christian County Welcome Center on I-24 near the Kentucky-Tennessee line nightly through Monday, Oct. 21.
Due to malfunctioning lighting, the welcome center building, located on I-24 westbound (92 mm) in Oak Grove, will only be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
KYTC plans to have lighting concerns under control by Monday, allowing the building to remain open overnight.
The rest area parking lot will remain open to motorists, but there will be no restrooms available during overnight hours.
