Single Lane Closure on I-75 Southbound in Grant County Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 8
Crews will be installing pavement markers as part of the ongoing resurfacing project
COVINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a single lane closure on Interstate 75 southbound in Grant County scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The lane closures are associated with the ongoing resurfacing project on I-75 from mile point 164 (one mile south of the Crittenden exit) to mile point 169.4 (Kenton/Boone County line), a distance of 5.4 miles.
Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 8, a single left lane closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. while contractors install pavement markers between mile point 166 and mile point 164 (Grant County portion of project).
Weather permitting, this work should wrap up on Friday, Oct. 11, by 6 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays during these overnight hours. Seek an alternate route and watch for trucks entering and leaving the work area.
Project Background
This resurfacing project started in Spring 2023 with the contractor working on the northbound lanes of I-75. Crews are currently working on the southbound portion of the project. The project includes pavement repairs and resurfacing, drainage repairs, guardrail work, cross slope correction and erosion repairs.
The project is expected to be completed by November 15, 2024.
