Intersection of Wilmore Road/KY 29 at Jessamine Station Road/KY 3433

The current intersection control is free flow on Wilmore Road/KY 29 with Jessamine Station Road/KY 3433 and the school exit as stop controlled side streets. The intersection includes an overhead flashing beacon with yellow flashing beacons for the Wilmore Road/KY 29 approaches and red flashing beacons for the Jessamine Station Road/KY 3433 and the school exit approaches.

  • installing white thermoplastic stop bars and new stop signs on Wilmore Road/KY 29 at the intersection

The plan for permanent modifications:

  • The project will include widening the intersection with:
  • a left turn lane onto Jessamine Station Road/KY 3433
  • a shared use path for students to walk between the schools on Wilmore Road/KY 29
  • installation of a traffic signal which will include a pedestrian crossing
  • improvements to enhance sight distance at the intersection
  • motorists are advised that traffic delays may be experienced on Wilmore Road/KY 29 during peak periods of traffic volume

The traveling public should remain aware of the temporary changes for the area and utilize caution.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
