TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Weekend Ramp and Lane Closures on I-71 South Beginning Friday, Sept. 13, in Oldham County
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of weekend ramp and lane closures on Interstate 71 South beginning Friday, Sept. 13, in Oldham County.
As part of the ongoing roadway rehabilitation project in Oldham County from mile marker 18 (near KY 393) to mile marker 22 (near South First Avenue), the I-71 South on-ramp from South First Avenue and the I-71 South off-ramp (Exit 22) to KY 53/Ballardsville will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. In addition, lane closures on I-71 South between mile markers 21 and 22 will be in effect from 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, through 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan ahead when traveling.
