Slide Repair Project on Dixie Highway/Pike Street (U.S. 25) in Kenton County Beginning Monday, Sept. 16
24/7 lane closure will be in place for three weeks
COVINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a slide repair project on Dixie Highway/Pike Street (U.S. 25) in Kenton County beginning on Monday, Sept. 16.
Crews will be working on Dixie Highway/Pike Street from west of Grays Peak (mile point 12.0) to south of West 12th Street (mile point 12.29), a distance of 0.29 miles.
This work will include stabilizing the hillside around a bend on Dixie Highway/Pike Street heading into Covington. This project is needed to ensure the road remains safe for all users for years to come.
Motorists should expect a northbound single right lane closure throughout the project area. This 24/7 lane closure will be in place for the entirety of the project. Signage will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming work and lane closure.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed Monday, Oct. 7.
