Roadway is reopened

PADUCAH, Ky. (August 12, 2024) –The blockage on KY 1490 (Elva Road) in Marshall County starting today will run fron J.B. Copeland (1.088 mm) to Breezeel School Road (0.54 mm), not J.B. Copeland to Weatherwood as previously reported.

PADUCAH, Ky. (August 5, 2024) – Just over a half mile KY 1490 (Elva Road) in Marshall County will be blocked for around two weeks beginning Monday, August 12 as the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet replaces a pair of deteriorating culverts.
The blockage will be between J.B. Copeland Road (1.088 mile point) and Weatherwood Road (1.687 MP).
KYTC has identified a pair of 72-inch culverts that have begun to deteriorate and are starting to cause an uneven roadway. Crews plan to have repairs to both culverts completed and the roadway reopened by Monday, August 26.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
