KY 56 will be Blocked Early Next Week for a Culvert Replacement
Work scheduled for August 19-21
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 16, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to block KY 56 in Union County for three days early next week in order to replace a box culvert.
The blockage will be from C.C. Buckman Road (3.3 mm) to KY 109 (2.7 mm), approximately three miles south of the Shawneetown Bridge. The roadway will close Monday, August 19 and is expected to reopen by the end of the day on Wednesday, August 21.
There will be a marked detour in place by the time the blockage begins.
