UPDATE: Paving Planned on U.S. 60 on the East Side of Owensboro
Project schedule to last from Aug. 12 - Aug. 23
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 9, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begin paving four and a half miles of U.S. 60 on the east side of Owensboro next week. Work is planned in both eastbound and westbound lanes.
Work is slated to begin on Monday, August 12 and continue daily through Friday, August 23, with an anticipated 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule each day.
New asphalt will be applied to U.S. 60 between KY 54 and KY 2830 to repair cracking and fatigue within the existing roadway.
The contractor will be closing one lane at a time, so motorists should be on the lookout for signage to warn of approaching lane closures.
