Original release
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 18, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 2123 (Glendale Church Road) in Crittenden County starting on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
KY 2123 (Glendale Church Road) will be closed at mile point 2.1 to allow the Little Hurricane Creek Culvert to be replaced. This closure is along KY 2123 about halfway between Glendale Church and the KY 1668 (Crittenden Springs Road) intersection.
KY 2123 is expected to close promptly at 7 a.m., on Wednesday, August 7. The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic around 4 p.m., on Friday, August 9.
There will be no marked detour.
Due to the length of this planned closure and the extended self-detour that is required, notice of this project is being shared several weeks in advance. KYTC District 1 will provide additional reminders as the August 7, closure date approaches.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely updates should this culvert replacement project be completed earlier than expected.
