ALERT: KY 138 in Webster County Closed for Emergency Repair

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 3, 2024) – KY 138 in Webster County has been closed immediately pending repairs to a sinkhole caused by animal activity between the 4-4.4 mile markers.
The closure is located between Old Dixon-Slaughters Road and Babe Rakestraw Road.
KYTC engineers report that wildlife had created a void under the roadway adjacent to a cross drain, causing a sinkhole to form.
Crews are making immediate repairs and expect to reopen the roadway in around two hours.
