TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures on South Brook and East Kentucky Streets Continue in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 30, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the continuation of closures on South Brook and East Kentucky Streets in Louisville.
The closure of the right turn lane and sidewalk of the 1000 block of South Brook Street (near the East Kentucky Street intersection) will continue daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, August 2. The daily closures have been extended for crews to continue surveying utilities.
Additionally, the full closure of the right parking lane, bike lane and sidewalk of the 900 block of South Brook Street will remain for the next two weeks as crews continue drilling and soil work. The full closure of the left parking lane, bike lane and sidewalk of the 200 block of East Kentucky Street (near the South Floyd Street intersection) will also continue for the next two weeks.
Signs notifying motorists of the closures are placed in the area. Drivers should heed signage and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
