Drain Clearing Maintenance Project on I-275 Carroll Cropper Memorial Bridge
Expect single right lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
COVINGTON, Ky. (July 25, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a drain clearing maintenance project on the Interstate 275 Carroll Lee Cropper Memorial Bridge.
The KYTC structures crew began working on the eastbound drains on Wednesday, July 24, utilizing a lane closure already in place due to a routine bridge inspection. Motorists should expect a single right lane closure during the working hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Schedule of Work (weather permitting)
- Thursday, July 25: I-275 eastbound right lane closure
- Friday, July 26: I-275 westbound right lane closure
This drain clearing work is necessary to ensure safe travel for the hundreds of thousands of motorists that use this bridge crossing every week.
Motorists should expect delays during working hours, and find an alternate route. Please, drive carefully through the project area to keep our crews safe.
Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed Friday, July 26.
