KY 126 (Cobb Rd) Blocked Due to Sinkhole in Northeastern Trigg County near Trigg-Caldwell County Line

PADUCAH, Ky. (July 17, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has closed a section of KY 126 in northeastern Trigg County due to a sinkhole in the roadway.
KY 126 (Cobb Road) is blocked around the 5.2 mile point, about 50 ft south of the Trigg-Caldwell County Line. The sinkhole about the size of a bushel basket formed in the middle of the roadway.
The roadway will remain closed until further notice to allow engineers time to evaluate the sinkhole and develop a repair plan.
KYtC Districct 1 will attempt to provide timely updates as repair plans progress.
