County Bridge Along King Road on the Nelson/Spencer Line to be Replaced
Closure near the KY 48 intersection will last 90 days
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (July 2, 2024) – Improving vital infrastructure for safety and mobility of motorists, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 4 is administering a contract for replacement of a Nelson County bridge.
Beginning July 8th, the bridge along King Road on the Nelson/Spencer County Line over East Fork Cox Creek will be blocked for crews to begin demolition. This will restrict access to KY 48 (Highgrove Road). Motorists will only be able to access King Road from the Whitesides Road end of the corridor.
Closure is expected to last 90 days while contract crews replace the bridge.
