Improvement project to begin for the Paris Bypass/US 68 in Bourbon County

The Paris Bypass/US 68 at the intersection with Legion Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (JUne 28, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled improvement project. A turn lane will be created that will lead into Legion Road. The turn lane will provide upgraded sight distance along the Paris Bypass/US 68.

Monday, July 8 through Thursday, October 317 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays

Note: weekend work could be scheduled if deemed necessary

The Paris Bypass/US 68

  • the project limits are between milepoints 1.5 and 1.7
  • eastbound shoulder closures will be in effect between milepoints 1.5 and 1.7
  • as work progresses there will be a long-term lane closure
  • the long-term lane closure will require closing the right/slow lane of the bypass at the intersection with Legion Road
  • motorists will be able to pass through the work zone

All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
