Improvement project to begin for the Paris Bypass/US 68 in Bourbon County
The Paris Bypass/US 68 at the intersection with Legion Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (JUne 28, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled improvement project. A turn lane will be created that will lead into Legion Road. The turn lane will provide upgraded sight distance along the Paris Bypass/US 68.
Monday, July 8 through Thursday, October 31 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays
Note: weekend work could be scheduled if deemed necessary
The Paris Bypass/US 68
- the project limits are between milepoints 1.5 and 1.7
- eastbound shoulder closures will be in effect between milepoints 1.5 and 1.7
- as work progresses there will be a long-term lane closure
- the long-term lane closure will require closing the right/slow lane of the bypass at the intersection with Legion Road
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
