TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Closures of I-264 West to I-65 South Ramp Beginning Monday, June 17, in Jefferson County
Contract crews to apply high-friction surface treatment
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 17, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of overnight ramp closures on Interstate 264 West in Jefferson County beginning Monday, June 17, at 8 p.m.
The I-264 West (Watterson Expressway) to I-65 South ramp will be closed Monday, June 17, at 8 p.m., to Tuesday, June 18, at 5 a.m. and Tuesday, June 18, at 8 p.m., to Wednesday, June 19, at 5 a.m.
During the overnight closures, contract crews will apply a high-friction surface treatment to the ramp. This treatment enhances safety by increasing the friction between vehicle tires and the roadway.
Motorists should follow the signed detour or seek an alternate route. Drivers should adjust for increased travel times and expect delays.
