KY 1371 Closed at 5mm in Carlisle County Due to Erosion at West Fork Mayfield Creek Culvert

Closure is until further notice

PADUCAH, Ky. (June 11, 2024)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has closed a section of KY 1371 in central Carlisle County.

KY 1371 is closed at the 5 mile marker due to erosion damage at the West Fork Mayfield Creek Culvert immediately north of Larry Reddick Road.  This is along KY 1371 about 1/2 mile north of the KY 1377 intersection and about 1.5 miles south of the KY 1935 intersection.

Engineers have been evaluating the damaged culvert and working on a repair plan that would allow the roadway to remain open.  However, erosion from recent flash flooding at the site is significant enough to require the roadway to be closed until repairs can be completed.

There is no marked detour.

KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely updates as a repair plan is developed and executed.
