Traffic Impacts on I-471, Highland Avenue in Campbell County for Bridge Inspection

Two lanes of I-471 northbound will be blocked during inspection

COVINGTON, Ky. (June 5, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of traffic impacts due to a bridge inspection in Campbell County on Wednesday, June 5.

KYTC will inspect the Highland Avenue Bridge (CS 4031) following an initial report of a piece of falling concrete. Out of an abundance of caution, Highland Avenue is blocked between mile points 0.297 and 0.338.

Additionally, KYTC Campbell County maintenance crews are blocking the right two lanes on I-471 northbound between U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) (mile point 1.6) and south of KY 1892 (Grand Avenue) (mile point 2.53) to allow crews a safe area to perform the inspection.

KYTC will provide further updates from the inspection, and if any additional traffic impacts are expected, on social media.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow. Follow KYTC District 6 on Facebook or Twitter.
