KY 77 in Menifee County to be closed Monday, June 10
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 77 in the Red River Gorge in Menifee County will need to find an alternate route on Monday, June 10. The road will be closed at milepoint 0.1 for replacement of a drainage pipe. Work will begin at 8 a.m. and should be complete by 3 p.m. This location is just east of Forest Service Route 23, between that intersection and KY 715.
No marked detour will be posted. Drivers can use FS 23, KY 613, KY 599 and US 460 through Powell and Montgomery counties as an alternate route to bypass the closure.
In case of inclement weather, the closure may be postponed until another suitable date.
Approximately 225 vehicles use this section of KY 77 each day.
