KY 109 in Hopkins County Restricted to Local Traffic 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This Week
KYTC to begin removing storm debris
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 3, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will block KY 109 in Hopkins County from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day this week as crews begin the process of removing tornado debris from the state right-of-way.
Following the May 26, 2024 tornado, KYTC employees worked diligently to move downed trees out of the roadway to allow traffic to resume. That debris is now scheduled for removal, which will force KY 109 in the Dunn Church area between the 4 and 5.8 mile markers, or from KY 1220 to Daylight Road, to be restricted to local traffic only during working hours.
Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week.
