Bridge Closure on KY 550 Knott County for Replacement Project near KY 2759 Intersection
Detour begins Wednesday, May 29
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (May. 28, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a bridge closure on KY 550 in Knott County for a replacement project. The bridge is located at mile point 9.6, just past the Ky 1259 intersection (.01 miles South of KY 1259).
Crews will close the bridge on the morning of May 29. Motorists will need to detour using Ky 1259 and Ky 160. Detour signage will be posted throughout the area. Please pay close attention to signs and traffic control in and around the work zone.
Fredrick and May have been contracted to replace the bridge with a new concrete box culvert. Crews expect the project to take 12-14 weeks to complete.
