Project to begin for Lemons Mill Road/KY 1962 in Scott County
Bridge rehabilitation over the Norfolk Southern Railroad at MP 70.00
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 17, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a project to begin for Lemons Mill Road/KY 1962. The work includes bridge rehabilitation over the Norfolk Southern Railroad at milepoint 70.00. The project was awarded to Hinkle Construction Services LLC. The anticipated completion date is October 15, 2024.
Lemons Mill Road/KY 1962
Monday, May 20 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. (times are approximate)
- preliminary work will be in effect that will include erosion control and clearing
- alternating lane closures will be in place with flaggers assisting
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
Tuesday, May 21 through Tuesday, October 15 – 7 a.m. Tuesday (May 21) until Tuesday (October 15) at 7 a.m.
- the road will be closed to the traveling public for rehabilitation work to begin
- motorists will need to utilize alternate routes
- signage will be in place to alert the traveling public about the closure
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
