Bridge Replacement Schedule on KY 2712 in Ohio County
Construction could impact traffic on the WK
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (May 10, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans an extended closure of KY 2712 (Rob Roy Road) for replacement of the Sandefur Crossing bridge over the Western Kentucky Parkway beginning Monday, May 20, 2024.
The project will completely replace the bridge, which was built in 1963 as part of the original construction of the Western Kentucky Parkway.
There will be a marked detour for traffic on KY 2712.
As the bridge spans the entire width of the WK, construction will impact motorists on the parkway. Lane restrictions and shoulder closures are likely to occur during the entire length of the project.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The scheduled completion date of the project is Sept. 17, 2024.
