Improvements scheduled for routes in
Madison County
Project planned for roadways
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 23, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled work for routes in Madison County. Four roadways will have safety improvements that will include repaving and shoulder stabilization to eliminate drop offs.
Note: motorists will be able to pass through the work zones --- flaggers will be onsite to assist with traffic control
Wednesday, April 24 through Friday, May 10 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays (this timeframe includes all four routes)
College Hill Road/KY 977
- operations will begin with this route --- work will be in effect between KY 52 (milepoint 0.0) and Oakley Wells Road (milepoint 3.06)
Note: work will then progress to the following roadways (not necessarily in this order)
Barnes Mill Road/KY 876
- operations will be between near Redwood (milepoint 3.8) and near Crutcher Pike (milepoint 4.6)
Crooksville Road/KY 499
- operations will be between Battlefield Memorial Highway/US 421 (milepoint 1.5) and Muddy Creek Road (milepoint 4.62)
Maple Grove Road/KY 1984
- operations will be between County Route 1348 and Tates Creek Road/KY 169 (milepoint 2.0)
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
