Bridge Replacement Project on KY 6 (Smith Hollow Road) is Expected to Start Monday, April 15 in Knox County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (April 12, 2024) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists that a bridge replacement project in Knox County is expected to start Monday, April 15.

This Knox County bridge project will occur on KY 6 (Smith Hollow Road) at mile point 8.41. The bridge/roadway will be closed beginning Monday, April 15. Motorists will need to use KY 459 as a detour route.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date and time could be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
