KYTC District 1 Eclipse Traffic Report at 3 p.m., CDT
Heavy traffic volume along I-24 Eastbound through Kentucky
PADUCAH, Ky. (April 8, 2024) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) personnel are monitoring traffic along Interstate 24 and other major routes across the 12 District 1 counties as eclipse watchers exit the region.
Traffic flow has moved to the eastbound side of Interstate 24, with traffic through the Paducah area moving about 10 to 20 miles per hour with traffic slowed at interchanges with heavy entry ramp traffic.
KYTC personnel have assisted with traffic flow by halting cross traffic to allow more efficient outflow from viewing areas.
Motorists are reminded to be patient and go with the flow to help avoid crashes and other traffic issues.
KYTC personnel are stationed at key locations around the region to assist with traffic as people head home this afternoon.
