Closure begins Monday., Mar. 18 at 9 a.m. at the intersection of KY 1091/Ky 7 near Buckingham
KNOTT COUNTY (Mar. 14, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a bridge closure along KY 1091 in Knott County for bridge repairs. The bridge is located at the intersection of KY 1091 and KY 7 near the Buckingham area at mile point .02 (2.1 miles East of the Knott/Floyd line).
Crews will perform deck and concrete repairs on the bridge starting Monday, Mar. 18, at 9 a.m. Repairs will last approximately one week. During this time, the bridge will be closed, and motorists must use an alternate route. These traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews room to work safely in the work zone.
Motorists should plan for congestion in the area during peak travel times and expect some delays while equipment is mobilized to the site. Please slow down and watch for signage.
